Kruger National Park
The Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best on the African continent. Home to the Big 5, the Kruger National Park is also home to hundreds of other mammals and diverse bird species. Covering almost 20 000 square kilometers, the Kruger National Park spans two provinces, Mpumalanga and Limpopo, and is almost the size as Belgium. The park was established by its namesake, Paul Kruger, in 1898 and opened to the public in 1927.
